8/1/2010 – Guess it’s been a few days – whoosh! time goes by. What have I accomplished musically? Not much. I went in to put some vocals down on a song called “Never Alone.” I wasn’t able to do it in one take and when I arrived my voice wasn’t warmed up. That was not a good situation. So, as I head over to the studio this evening, I will warm up quite a bit in the car.
Speaking of cars – my little “Scooter” caused me a lot of stress – 5 days and $636 later, I’m back on the road with him. My son was kind enough to lend me his car while he rode is motorcycle.
So, off to the studio now.
7/29/2010 – It’s the afternoon and I am sitting at work thinking about how I will spend the evening. I don’t want to plan too heavy, but I need to incorporate new, steady habits in my life to build the music — or to unleash the music in my soul. I need to sharpen my skills greatly. I will spend the afternoon listening to many singers and music focusing on the music of Brazil and Africa.
I also have to go Guitar Center in Manchester to pick up some drum wands for the studio. I hate driving out to Manchester because of the heavy traffic — but oh well – don’t think, just do.
I am using my son’s car; mine is in the shop until tomorrow.
So, get drum wands, start to design the cover for Eclipse.
7/28/2010 – Here we go – with all honesty. My car died two days ago, I am looking for a house to live in. I feel cool, calm and collected about it all at the moment. No worries. That may change. We’ll see…
