Hollywood makes so much effort to keep us entranced and interested about what the “stars” are doing and saying. It’s ridiculous. They want us to stay focused on plastic bullshit. They want us to be dazzled and entranced by these people that they promote so that we continue to spend our money to support them and to chase after foolish dreams to be in the spotlight.
Actors and actresses are paid ridiculous amounts of money to play pretend. How interesting is it that someone can pretend to be someone or something other than themselves? Any child can do it, easily.
What interests me is what they do for their fellow human beings, what do they do for mankind. This includes atheletes and other people who get paid millions and millions of dollars. And don’t think that I am not forgetting the team owners, the film producers, the film companies, etc., those convenient corporations comprised of billionaires.
They adorn themselves with diamonds dug out of mines by slaves – elderly, children, men, women – people who spend 14, 16 hours in hell holes looking for sparkling rocks. Gold? There are people in slavery in gold mines too.
I don’t want gold, I don’t want diamonds. I don’t want anything that a slave has to provide for me. As we go down the list, I don’t want things made in China and other countries because everyone knows that slavery exists there too. Sweat shops, places where people are beaten if they don’t comply.
I don’t want credit. I don’t want to be a slave to a greedy corporation who will insist that I pay them thousands and thousands of dollars above what I have borrowed and to pay the money back over decades.
Well, I am ranting – yes – ranting. I am really tired of the headlines that dull the minds of the public. And I am really tired of the public falling for it day in and day out. Worshiping wealth, worshiping women with fake lips, breast implants, fake hair, fake personalities. Yes, fake personalities. Because if you are going to parade yourself in front of cameras, starve yourself to be a size 5, smile because you’re told to, pose and try to be sexy, yes, you are fake.
I especially find white women with superficially enlarged lips to be very unattractive. It does not look right. It looks very unnatural.
Criticize me and other women of color for our full lips, yet you pay to have them. Criticize and hate brown skinned people, but yet you spend hours in the sun trying to get tan(ned) and brown.
When will drop the bullshit and be happy with who we are and how we are?
When will we care about real issues like starvation and homelessness.
The needless slaughter of wild animals, the decimation of our planet?
When will we wake up?
